Amy takes care of collecting the rent and paying the expenses for the 19 different properties Burrow-Halsey manages, including retail, office space and residential properties. She has been with the company since December 2005. Amy’s background is in accounting, working in public and private accounting before joining the Burrow-Halsey team. Amy is from Paragould and received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Arkansas State University. She and her fiancé are in the process of planning their wedding, and when she’s not busy with that, she’s also studying for the CPA exam. In addition, she and her fiancé are busy remodeling the house they recently purchased. Amy also likes to read if she can find a spare moment!
Amy certainly has no trouble staying busy. A veteran of Burrow Halsey now since July of 2005, Amy has moved into the position of administrative assistant for the entire Burrow Halsey brokerage team. Taking care of so many agents and customers is always a challenge, but one that Amy is certainly up to. Her daily routine includes juggling schedules, deadlines, presentations and research for nearly every client of the firm. Her well rounded experience make her a tremendous asset and an integral part of the Burrow Halsey team. And she does it while balancing an active home life with her husband, Mat and two sons. Born and raised in Leachville, Amy remains a loyal fan of the BIC Mustangs!
Cheri is in charge of accounting for Burrow-Halsey’s financial reporting and brokerage division. She’s been with the company since Jerry Halsey and Bruce Burrow partnered in July 2003. She also worked with Jerry at Halsey Real Estate Investment. She says working with her husband is great fun and very rewarding. They have two young girls, and Cheri says the most challenging thing about her job is not what she does, but trying to balance her business and civic activities with her family. She says children are only young for a short time, and she wants to enjoy this time with her girls. One thing Cheri says many people do not know about her is her love of music. She plays the piano at her church and at home, and calls music one of her passions.
Paula has been with Burrow Halsey since October 2004, and to say that she has done it all doesn't even begin to do her service here justice. Paula has gone from being the central hub that keeps the whole office running to her current position as Jerry Halsey's executive assistant. Most days, she'll tell you taking care of Jerry is a bigger job than running the front office! As Jerry's assistant, Paula is involved in nearly ever facet of the operation. Her institutional knowledge based on array of experience at Burrow Halsey serve our clients well. Married for 15 years, Paula and her husband have two sons and live in Caraway, where she loves outdoor sports and camping and is active in the praise team at her church.
If there is a problem at one of the many properties Burrow Halsey Realty Group, Inc. manages, then Wayne is the man called in to fix it. He determines if he and the rest of the maintenance team can fix the problem, or if they need to call in someone with more expertise. Wayne has been working in maintenance for several decades. He studied building trades in high school and then worked on base maintenance during his six years in the Marine Corps. Before joining Burrow Halsey Realty Group, Inc. in January, Wayne spent the last 12 years as maintenance supervisor at a factory. Wayne is originally from Jackson, Tennessee, but his wife is from Caraway. He’s live in Northeast Arkansas for so many years now, he calls it home. He loves to spend time with his grandchildren when he’s not busy fixing things at work!
Meredith is right at home in her position with Burrow Halsey. She gets to deal with everybody…and that’s just the way she likes it! With an outgoing personality and an infectious smile you can actually hear through the telephone, Meredith relishes her opportunity to deal with clients and agents alike. Before joining the Burrow Halsey team, Meredith and her family owned a popular daycare facility in Jonesboro. After they sold it, she began to look for new challenges, and developed an interest in real estate. Now she gets to satisfy that interest everyday as she works in Burrow Halsey’s property management department…and she couldn’t be more excited. Meredith is married to Justin, and if she has a passion outside work and family…she says it’s cooking. We’re sure she does great at that, too!
